The smell of summer is in the air in the Boyne Valley. The sun is making an appearance, the kids are nearly finished school, the scents of freshly cut grass and back yard BBQ’s linger and the nation eagerly awaits the 7th of June when outside dining can recommence in Ireland. A magnificent 18th century Georgian house, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, less than 5 minutes of the M3 and under 30 minutes from Dublin City centre and Dublin airport. This summer, Bellinter House welcomes you to their outside dining area for their Drawing room menu and their Boyne Valley Ala Carte menu. Lunch is from 12-2.30 and dinner from 6-9pm.
Spacious, well equipped and seriously stylish. The good folk at City North Hotel have expanded their Delvin Terrace adding more seating and shade. It is available to book from June 2nd for hotel residents and from June 7th for all other guests. Their operating hours are:

- 10.30am for Coffee
- 12.00pm – for Lunch
- 17.00-21.00pm for Dinner
- 7 days a week with carvery on Sundays

As summer approaches, The Outdoor Terrace at Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa is the perfect location for some socialising and al fresco dinning with friends and family and to bask in the summer sun. The outside Terrace enjoys direct sunshine and as the evening begins to fall, the partially covered and heated Terrace is an ideal location to retreat and enjoy a delicious cocktail, a craft beer, or a full-bodied glass of red wine. Sage&Stone are open from their takeaway barn at the gate selling sandwiches, soup, salads, cakes, great coffee and take home meals as well as other artisan foods and gifts. There are plenty of tables outside to meet up with friends for a cuppa and something to eat. They will re-open their Cafe/Restaurant on Monday 5th July with full restaurant service for Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon tea.

A beautifully restored 18th Century coaching inn, The Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane village offers luxurious accommodation in County Meath. A 2-minute drive from Slane Castle and only the short distance to Historic sites such as the Hill of Slane and Newgrange. New Menu, New outdoor space, Same Welcome. The Cross Guns are pulling out all the stops to ensure that their customers have all the benefits of outdoor dining with all the comforts of the indoors. As well as their new look terrace, which is framed by the scent of beautiful lavender, they are adding the Laneway Terrace to their outdoor offering. This, previously ignored, side of The Cross Guns has taken on a new focus with the opening of the Greenway in sight and their Bi-Folding doors, retractable canopy to cope with both the extreme rain or the extreme sun (hopefully the latter) and landscaped outdoor area will allow customers to bask in food and drink glory throughout the summer months. In total The Cross Guns can seat 45 people within their sheltered outdoor space and when the sun shines, space is limitless, just like the warm welcome!

The award-winning Lime Kiln Gastropub will re-open for outdoor dining on Thursday 10th June in their beer garden. They are currently renovating the outdoor area to accommodate up to 40 customers on benches and restaurant tables & chairs. They are also installing heaters and parasols which will make for a very comfortable space in which guests can enjoy our delicious food and drinks

The Central Navan and The Bective Kells will reopen for outdoor service from Thursday July 1st to Sunday July 4th and for both indoor and outdoor service from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 11th of July and Wednesday to Sunday weekly after that.
The Stockhouse restaurant in Trim are extremely excited about their new outdoor dining area. The area will have a 'Beatles' theme and it’s called 'Penny Lane '.
