The ‘Lightscape’ will feature illuminating gardens after dark and imaginative installations. The Loughcrew Lightscape extravaganza will absolutely be adhering to Covid-19 protocols with Covid bubbles, staggered entry and handling its drink-making procedures appropriately. Luckily, getting dressed up, wandering through a wonderland and having a glass of champagne can be made safe!! Visit www.loughcrew.com
“Can you stop the Cavalry?” is often sung at Christmas and this year Santa Claus himself will be stopping his Christmas train at the Irish Military War Museum and Family Fun Park from the 15th – 22nd December. Visitors will be able to wander through the indoor ice tunnel and pick up some treats before making their way out to the Christmas village where the elves will be working away getting ready to stock Santa’s sleigh. Then meet the man himself – Santa - in his specially adapted Train Station grotto. Due to Covid-19 ‘family pods’ of between four and six people will be created for the event to run safely and efficiently with reduced numbers. You must have a family of 4 ticket to enter the event (2 adults 2 children, or 3 adults and one child). €60 + booking fee. Visit www.eventbrite.ie or call the museum on 041-9819501.
