The Boyne Valley is the soul of Ireland’s Ancient East. This region is synonymous with the incredible World Heritage Site of Newgrange and the Brú na Bóinne tombs, but for almost every period in Irish history from the furthest reaches of our prehistoric past to the early modern period, it is the perfect place to encounter the story of Ireland.
Listen to the incredible story of the Boyne Valley with our audio guide, produced by Abarta Heritage on behalf of Meath Tourism and Meath County Council, with the support of Louth County Council and the Office of Public Works. For more on the heritage site see here.
This project has been part financed by the European Union's Interreg Cross Border programme, managed by Special EU Programmes Body and by Meath County Council.
