Spotlight on Ireland Ancient East (“Le Terre Millenarie d’Irlanda”) at travel fair in Rimini
Ireland’s Ancient East (“Le Terre Millenarie d’Irlanda”) was unveiled by Tourism Ireland to Italian travel professionals attending TTG Incontri in Rimini this week.
Seven Irish and Italian tourism companies are joining Tourism Ireland at TTG Incontri, an important travel trade fair which attracts about 37,000 Italian travel professionals each year, including influential tour operators and travel agents, as well as leading Italian travel media.
Niamh Kinsella, Tourism Ireland’s manager Italy, said: “Interest in visiting the island of Ireland remains strong among Italians and our presence at TTG Incontri provides an excellent opportunity to spread the word about the many great experiences that Italian holidaymakers can enjoy right around the island – including our newest tourism experiences, Ireland’s Ancient East and Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016.
“Italy is an important market for tourism to the island of Ireland and 2015 looks set to be another strong year for Italian visitors, with the most recent CSO figures showing an increase of +20% for the June-August period. We are determined to ensure that growth continues. Our presence at TTG Rimini is just one element of our extensive autumn campaign which is in full swing right now – aimed at boosting late-season travel to Ireland from Italy.”
