For an authentic Irish experience become immersed in our organic farm with a stay at Johnsfort unique self-catering accommodation. Meet Ború, Grace and Constance- our Highland Cattle, meet our Jacob sheep, Bantom hens, Dexter cattle, Shorthorn cattle, Dorset sheep and lambs. Bottle feed the baby lambs and collect your own eggs. 

Stay in the stunning, peaceful, rural, lovingly restored Marianne Cottage or Bartholomew’s Loft- both sleep up to 5 guests. On arrival, you will be greeted with an abundance of Bairbre’s homemade brown bread with lots of fresh eggs from the hens that you can gather yourself. 

Bartholomew's Loft is the epitome of modern comfort in a 200-year-old farmyard setting.  With parquet floors, salvaged timber clad walls and Chesterfield couches, Bartholomew's oozes luxury, comfort, and style. Every corner of the loft has an interesting feature from the home office area with a genuine 1940's bankers’ desk and the 1950's bright orange kitchen. 
Marianne Cottage boasts a huge stove with firewood provided. It is perfect for those cold winter nights and sit out on the patio on warm summer evenings. It has a cathedral ceiling and architectural features such as the original exposed stone arch, steel beams and salvaged sliding doors giving it industrial charm. 

During your stay you can walk down the fields and through the woods. Hear all about Irish farming life from Richard and Bairbre themselves! As well as providing luxurious accommodation, Johnsfort House also provides day trips around the Boyne Valley! Explore the sights and history of our region with our bespoke and private Irish tours. Our tour guide Richard will also be your driver and he will take you anywhere you want to see, from just outside your front door!
