Guided Farm Tours
Guided tours of Rock Farm run at 11am on Thursdays or can be booked for private groups for the minimum price of 6 visitor.
The Tours give a fascinating insight into this pioneering 90-acre organic farm and ecotourism destination on the historic Slane Castle Estate. Visitors learn about the life of an organic farmer and artisan producer while they walk through the farm that is home to rare breed animals like Dexter cows and Tamworth pigs as well as the happy flock of chickens who provide free range eggs. The tour includes organic market garden which produces bumper crops of veg and fields of barley used for the whiskey made at Slane Distillery. It’s an opportunity to learn about eco-tourism, glamping and strawbale buildings. The cost is €15 per person and tours must be pre-booked on the website https://rockfarmslane.ie/activities/ Visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and dress for the outdoors.
Farm Shop
The Rock Farm Shop is available for online orders at https://rockfarmslane.ie/farm-shop/ with collections on Thursdays between 11am and 2pm.Online orders can be made by guests staying in advance of their arrival from the farm shop page on the website. Please enquire when booking. All the familiar Rock Farm organic meat and vegetables will be on sale in smart new packaging as well as a selection of local Boyne Valley produce from quality suppliers. To make life easy, customers can pre-order and pick up during shop hours.
Rafting at Rock Farm Slane

Established in 2009 , in the Canoe Centre in Palmerstown Dublin, Rafting.ie have been delivering unique, unforgettable experiences to their clients on the River Liffey for over 15 years. They are now excited to have the opportunity to operate from the stunningly beautiful Boyne Valley and share its wonders with their clients.
Their river guides and instructors are the best in the business. They are all highly experienced, extremely passionate about the water and thrive on sharing this environment with all who part take in their activities.
With the help of your guide, you will paddle downstream, navigating over six weirs and numerous rapids, through the beautiful Boyne Valley, steeped in history and emersed in nature. You will finish at Slane Bridge, shortly after passing by the breathtaking back drop of the infamous Slane Castle, one of the most picturesque and historic buildings in Ireland. .
This unmissable activity is a fantastic way for groups of friends, families, colleagues or teams mates to have fun and spend quality time together in the outdoors, in the heart of Irelands Ancient East.
Your Rafting Adventure lasts approximately 3 hours from start to finish and is suitable for ages 11+. The rafts take up to 7 people in each with all equipment provided and no experience necessary.
