ROCK FARM GLAMPING & ACCOMMODATION

Relax and recharge on a luxury glamping break at the 90 acre secluded organic Rock Farm Slane which is part of Slane Castle Estate and directly across the river from Slane Castle. Mature woodland overlooks the glamping - luxury yurts, shepherds huts and bell tents with communal living area, kitchen, clay pizza oven, fire pit and lots of space. Enjoy the natural swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. 

Rock Farm is ideal for reunions, celebrations, corporate and special interest groups. It is a very popular venue for weddings. Catering and activities are available on the farm and locally. 

Rock Farm glamping comprises yurts, shepherd’s huts, a bell tent village and self-catering properties. The luxury yurts sleep up to 6 people. Self-catering houses include Lime House, Ireland’s biggest straw-bale house, which sleeps 22 people and is popular with groups of friends and for family reunions. An outdoor wooden hot tub and natural swimming pool are just two of the added extras which make Rock Farm a very special destination. Shepherds Huts and the self-catering properties are open all year round. 

We offer stays for everyone, from single travellers, couples and families visiting Slane, Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne), Emerald Park, the River Boyne or The Boyne Valley, as well as those wanting to participate in adventure activities and large groups of

up to 30 people.

Cosy Swallow’s Nest eco-lodge sleeps just two people while Lime House is the largest straw-bale residential house in Ireland with six generous ensuite bedrooms and ample luxurious living space. River House is a quality six-bed holiday home in a private riverside setting close to Slane village.

Rock Farm Barn is available for booking for private events, Weddings, Birthdays, Retirements and other family and Corporate occasions. The Limehouse is also available for smaller intimate Weddings and occasions.

Activities can be booked separately to accommodation and you don’t have to be staying on the farm to book in. Please note that at the moment we do not have bikes for hire.

WATER ADVENTURES ON THE BOYNE
Experience thrilling water activities like Kayaking, Canoeing, and Rafting on the River Boyne at Rock Farm Slane, available for group bookings of 4 or more through our website or Rafting.ie, with expert guidance through rapids and a stunning view of Slane Castle and Slane Bridge.  
All gear and a shuttle service are included, catering to ages 11 and up (with younger participants considered upon request).

GUIDED FARM TOURS
Guided tours of Rock Farm are a fascinating insight into this pioneering 90-acre organic farm and ecotourism destination on the historic Slane Castle Estate. Visitors learn about the life of an organic farmer and artisan producer while they walk through the farm that is home to rare breed animals like Dexter cows and Tamworth pigs as well as the happy flock of chickens who provide free range eggs. They tour the organic market garden which produces bumper crops of veg and see fields filled with the barley used for the whiskey made at Slane Distillery. It’s an opportunity to learn about eco-tourism, glamping and strawbale buildings. Regular Farm Tours will recommence soon and will be bookable through the website.
