This Halloween, folklore enthusiasts and festivalgoers can look forward to the highly anticipated return of the

Kells TypeTrail brings together a wide range of artforms, highlighting our unique heritage of lettering as a form of communication. Each year, one word is translated into a variety of languages, reflecting the diversity of the community in Kells, with the aim of providing a means to bring individuals and groups together. As this is what Arts, Culture and Heritage does, this year’s word is ‘Connect'. 

The Type Trail launch  27th June 2024  this years word  "Evolve" with art works at various locations around Kells.

Be sure to check out this fantastic festival which takes place at Scotch Hall shopping Centre in Drogheda from Friday 30th June- Sunday 2nd July. 

With live music and entertainment for the kids there is something for everyone!

Back by popular demand, The Bective Restaurant in Kells, Co. Meath, are bringing back their Seafood Festival for another year, as part of the Boyne Valley Food Series!
The popular Seafood Festival will once again run at The Bective Restaurant, in Kells, as part of this year's Boyne Valley Food Series.

Date: Friday, 28 April to Sunday, 30 2023

Time: Friday & Saturday from 17:00, Sunday from 15:00

Venue: The Bective Restaurant, Bective St. Kells, Co. Meath

Take a self-guided tour around a 5-acre nature trail learning about the habitats, flora and fauna, and the lifecycles of woodland creatures.

Opening times: 10:00 am - 03:00 pm. Book your ticket on the website. 

About: 
Bee Wise Nature Trail has Open Days throughout the year where individuals and families can visit without having to be part of a larger group.

See the Honeybees up close in the working observation hive from April to October.

Enjoy a family fun day out with lots of outdoor activities for all ages.

Boyne Valley Activities Charity Raft Race will take place Friday March 17th 2023 in aid of Meath River Rescue.

There will be prizes for the winning raft, the Titanic award for the first raft to sink and a prize for the best dressed raft.

The race will start above the rapids at Swifts Wave and will finish after Trim Castle.

All rafts must be cleared away from the riverbank on the day.

Over 18s only. 2 & 4 person teams can participate. Entry fee is €20 per person. 

There will be a 'Valentine Fair' on Saturday the 11th of February.

Watch out for more surprises to unwind closer to the date!!
