Workshops are a perfect way to enhance your biodiversity in your local village, private garden or school garden.

In this workshop each booking will make two types of nest boxes for different types of birds. Learn the correct positioning of each type and what bird will use the nest box in your garden.

Design and make your own Cloak for Brigid or Mary of the Gael.

Cloaks will be on display in the museum and designers are welcome to model them on the day.

• Make your own Brigid’s Cross (rushes supplied)
• Experience a Country Kitchen with traditional food
• Brigid’s Circle(Music/Poetry)

Laytown Races will take place on Monday 16th September 2024.

The Laytown Races occupy a unique position in the Irish racing calendar, as Ireland’s only horse racing event run on a beach under the Rules of Racing.

The flat racing event takes place once a year, every September, on the County Meath strand, on a straight, almost level course. Races are confined to six and seven furlong distances.

The Winter Weekender will feature a calendar of exciting in-person and virtual events brought to you by a selection of members from the extensive Louth Craftmark Designers Network. 

The Winter Weekender will feature a variety of artistic disciplines including ceramics, glass, jewellery, painting, print, mixed media, textiles, and sculpture, so there will be something for everyone’s taste!
