Join us for a wine reception to mark the official launch of the Meath Film Festival this autumn.

The festival founder and director Siún O'Connor will be announcing the upcoming programme with some exciting opportunities for local and national filmmakers.

Louth Craftmark is delighted to host their forthcoming group exhibition, Connective 22, in Gallery 13, Millmount, Drogheda. Set in the historic setting of the Millmount Craft Quarter, and home to the Drogheda Museum and Martello Tower, Louth Craftmark is delighted to be joined by Labour Party TD Ged Nash to officially open the exhibition on Friday, 8th July at 6pm. All are welcome to attend.

The free exhibition will run until Friday 5th August with opening hours from 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

Liliane Tomasko                          S P E L L O F T H E W O O D           2 July - 20 August                              

For this solo exhibition, Liliane Tomasko presents two new large, frieze-like wall paintings, S P E L L and W O O D, made specifically for the unique space of Highlanes, together with a series of new smaller oil-based works on paper, a floor work entitled Magic Carpet, made of wool and fabric, from 2016, and two large works on linen from 2016 and 2018.

Meeting at the Highlanes Gallery, Brendan Matthews first stop will be closeby at Magdalene St. and to the Public House premises where Nano was born.

Here, he will outline Nano Reid`s family background along Magdalene St. and the Peter St. /Fair St. junction, elaborating on the wider context of Nano's paternal and maternal (Downey's), homesteads.

From there the tour will move to William Street to one of her former studios and where her father, Thomas Reid, held a number of properties; one of which today is of architectural heritage interest.

Sven Anderson, Chloe Brenan, Karl Burke, Adam Gibney & Theo McNab

Solstice Arts Centre presents an exhibition titled I am Sitting in a Room, featuring works by Sven Anderson, Chloe Brenan, Karl Burke, Adam Gibney and Theo McNab (d. 2015), curated by Belinda Quirke. The exhibition runs from June 18th (opening reception at 2:30pm on the day) - August 5th 2022, and is accompanied by two bespoke, curated sound performances and other exciting learning & engagement events.

An Tobar is located approximately 3km from Navan town and is available for groups/ individuals who can expect to find welcome, hospitality, healing and hope, woodlands and walkways.

The Centre offers retreats and workshops all year round.
