Eureka House & Gardens is the perfect location to unwind and relax with good food in Kells. Located within lush parklands, this unique setting in the heritage town of Kells is across the road from the tourist office. The house dates from 1865 and was once Eureka Secondary School. They are open 7 days a week from 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on a Sunday. Enjoy tasty treats from homemade cakes and scones to delicious sandwiches, salads and light bites. Jacks Bar and Restaurant is a must visit when travelling to the Boyne Valley. Their menu featured flavoursome fare from local producers as well as a great selection of cocktails and drinks. Their food offering includes brunch, lunch and evening dinner. Enjoy live trad music on a Thursday as well as live music all weekend long. They are now open 7 days a week. The beautiful Headfort Arms Hotel is the perfect destination for a Boyne Valley Breakfast, Carvery or sit down lunch, or evening meal. Café Therese and the Headfort Lounge offer an all day menu that includes breakfast, mid-morning scones, carvery lunch and an evening menu. You can also enjoy their famous afternoon tea in the Lounge or the Garden.

The Kelltic Bar and The Courtyard offers a true Irish Pub Experience. With its own entrance, the Kelltic offers a typical Irish pub experience with gourmet ‘Pub Grub’.

The jewel in the crown of the Headfort dining experience is the award-winning Vanilla Pod Restaurant. They pride themselves on good quality, carefully sourced produce from local suppliers, using ingredients that are in season and offering specialties such as locally reared lamb and locally produced cheeses. The restaurant is open Thursday - Saturday from 5.00 pm - 10.00 pm and on a Sunday from 12.30 pm - 9.30 pm. Find out more here.

A short 10-minute drive from Kells will bring you to Sheridan’s Cheesemongers shop and café. Here you can discover a vast assortment of local produce and relax in their fabulous café. The Shop & Café is open Monday to Friday from 10am - 6pm and on Sunday from  11am - 5pm. The
