Nollaig na mBan is an Irish tradition that translates to ‘Women's Christmas.’ It is also known as Little Christmas or the Feast of the Epiphany. The celebration takes place on January 6th, which is the twelfth day of Christmas, and marks the end of the holiday season.
It is a day for women to take a break from the domestic responsibilities that may have kept them busy during the Christmas season. Traditionally, men would take over the household duties on this day, allowing women to enjoy a day of relaxation and socializing with their friends and family.
