Brigid 1500: Louth Birthplace of Brigid Festival

Celebrations commemorating the remarkable life of St. Brigid of Faughart are set to captivate audiences throughout Louth as the highly anticipated Brigid 1500: ‘Louth Birthplace of Brigid’ festival kicks off on January 26th, 2024.

The programme, spearheaded by Louth County Council, is a tribute to one of Ireland’s most esteemed saints, offering a rich tapestry of events and initiatives highlighting her legacy.

- Make your own Brigid's Cross (rushes supplied)
- Experience a Country Kitchen with traditional foods

- Brigid's Circle (Music/Poetry)

Friday January 12th and Saturday January 13th

Nearly 40 Irish stallion farms are set to welcome visitors for the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Irish Stallion Trail on Friday January 12 and Saturday January 13.

The two-day event provides breeders and racing fans a unique opportunity to view an array of stallions across Ireland.
